Our recommendations to empower cities to dialogue with all governmental levels

In addition, the day after our EUCityCalc’s Final Conference, we will hold the policy session Empowering local authorities in national and EU climate policymaking at h 16.15 to present the project’s recommendations at all governmental levels. Despite cities being at the forefront of climate mitigation efforts, they are often not adequately involved in policymaking processes related to climate action. Throughout the project, EUCityCalc has supported local authorities in engaging with regional, national, and EU decision-makers. This session aims to underscore the importance of cities making their voices heard and to share the lessons learned by our pilot cities.

This session will be part of the Energy Cities‘ Annual Conference Grafting Cities hosted at the Palau de la Música in Valencia on 26-27 June. Don’t miss the opportunity to join also this relevant event, get inspired by other European cities and network with like-minded people! The 2024 edition aims to unveil remarkable initiatives that ENC’s members have undertaken to “graft” their cities, highlighting the transformative efforts of local communities to reshape urban landscapes.
